Getting There
Getting to Caunes Minervois from the United States is easy.
Fly into
Paris and transfer to a one and half hour Air France flight to Toulouse. Rent a
car and in 90 more minutes you will be in Caunes Minervois.
Fly to London. RyanAir has daily
morning flights from Stansted Airport to Carcassonne, at very
reasonable prices. Rent a car, you are only 20 minutes from Caunes
Minervois.
More leisurely itineraries might include three nights in Paris and then
taking the fast TGV train to Toulouse. The TGV takes about five hours from
Paris to Toulouse. You could then rent a car in Toulouse or transfer
trains to
Carcassonne, which is about twenty minutes away.
You might also fly into Barcelona, which is about 2 1/2 hours
drive from Caunes
Minervois.

Recommended maps: Michelin spiral bound maps of France (this book is
invaluable if you are touring around France.) For the fold out map,
buy the yellow map number 83. (Double check when buying to make sure that
the map includes Carcassonne.)
